Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan ( Hoberlandt 1997), Northern Iran (no locality cited) ( Mohaghegh 2006), Iran (no locality cited) ( Rider 2006; Mohaghegh 2008).
General distribution. Euro-Siberian (not in South of France, south of Italy and Spain), Burma, India.
Comments. A predator which lives on numerous trees and feeds upon caterpillars and soft-bodied larvae of several insects. The eggs of T. luridus are destroyed by Microphanurus semistriatus (Nees) ( Hymenoptera : Proctotrupoidea) ( Péricart 2010).
