Distribution in Iran. Guilan ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005; Linnavuori 2008), Iran (no locality cited) ( Putshkov 1965; Rider 2006).

General distribution. Mediterranean basin except Libya and Egypt extending to Central Asia ( Iran). Host plants. Sciocoris maculatus has been caught on several Asteraceae , Lamiaceae and Poaceae ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005) .
