Sciocoris conspurcatus Klug, 1845 : [sign. d]; Sciocoris fissus var. scutellaris Puton, 1884: 147 ; Sciocoris conspurcatus majusculus Linnavuori, 1964: 308 ; Sciocoris (Neosciocoris) carayoni Wagner, 1965: 136 .
Distribution in Iran. Alborz, Tehran ( Hoberlandt 1997), Kerman, Sistan & Baluchestan (Kiritshenko 196), Khorasan ( Linnavuori 2008), Iran (no locality cited) ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005; Rider 2006).
General distribution. Western Europe (doubtful in Italy), North Africa (Canary Archipelago), Near East, Iran, Arabian peninsula, Sudan.
Host plants. Sciocoris conspurcatus lives in sandy biotopes under Obione sp. ( Amaranthaceae ), Salsola sp. , Salicornia sp. (both Salsolaceae ) and Zygophyllum sp. ( Zygophyllaceae ) ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005), and on Chenopodiaceae ( Dusoulier & Lupoli 2006) .
