Distribution in Iran. Kerman ( Hoberlandt 1997 as M. ovalis ); Khorasan ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b); Semnan ( Jakovlev 1877; Oshanin 1906, 1912; Reuter 1900), Iran (no locality cited) ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005; Rider 2006).
General distribution. North Africa (Canary Archipelago), Near East, Pontian ( Armenia, Iran), Saudi Arabia; also known in Sardegna and Sicily ( Carapezza 1997; Derjanschi & Péricart 2005).
Host plant. Under Astragalus sp. ( Fabaceae ) ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b).
