Type Locality: "Between Rio Chiriqui Viejo and Rio Colorado, on a hill known locally as Cerro Pando, elevation 4800 feet [1463 m], about ten miles [16 km] from El Volcan, Province de Chiriqui, R. de Panama." .

Vernacular Names: Chiriqui Olingo.

Distribution: Panama (known only from the type locality).

Conservation: IUCN – Endangered.
