Paratepa dryoglypta ( Meyrick, 1913) , new combination

Cnephasia dryoglypta Meyrick 1913: 172 .

Eulia dryoglypta : Clarke 1958: 124.

“Unplaced Euliini View in CoL ” dryoglypta : Powell et al. 1995: 146; Brown 2005: 341.

Diagnosis and remarks. Cnephasia dryoglypta was described by Meyrick (1913) from two females; no additional specimens have been found in any collection. Clarke (1958) transferred the species to Eulia View in CoL and designated a lectotype; he illustrated the adult and its genitalia ( Clarke 1958: 124). Powell et al. (1995) and Brown (2005) listed the species under “Unplaced Euliini View in CoL ,” where it has remained. Although the adult is rather worn, the forewing pattern and color are reminiscent of those of Paratepa View in CoL , and the female genitalia are similar to those of P. ferruginea View in CoL , with a broad antrum and a long ductus bursae. Based on these features, the species is provisionally transferred to Paratepa View in CoL .

Types. Lectotype ♀, Argentina, Paraná, JFGC slide 6345 ( NHMUK).

Paralectotype ♀. Argentina, Paraná ( NHMUK) .

Distribution and biology. This species is known from the two specimens collected in Paraná, Argentina over a century ago. The life history is unknown.
