Distribution. New to Fuerteventura. Reported from western islands of the Canary archipelago ( Eizaguirre 2007), specifically El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Gran Canaria ( Oromí & Báez 2010; Nicolas 2010). Species widely distributed in the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions ( Kovář 2007). Recorded also in Pakistan (Gilgit-Baltistan) ( Ashfaque et al. 2015), India ( Poorani & Lalitha 2018) and Nepal ( Bielawski 1972). Erroneously reported from Kashmir ( Pakistan) by Rashid et al. (2017). Male genitalia illustrated by the authors clearly differ from those in specimens from Fuerteventura as well as India depicted by Poorani & Lalitha (2018).
