This genus needs revision and species level determinations are difficult ( Cuezzo et al. 2020). Our material comes from St. Thomas. We collected B. havanensis from quiet pools at lower elevations in Turpentine Run ghut and in artificial impoundment ponds on Mahogany Run ghut. This appears to be the first record of this species from the US Virgin Islands.
