Chlamydotheca unispinosa (Baird, 1862) View in CoL
This large, green patterned ostracod was found by us on St. Thomas in the upper impoundment on Mahogany Run ghut, Bolongo pond, and in ornamental aquatic garden plantings in Tillet Gardens. It was not previously known from the Virgin Islands, but its presence is not unexpected ( Broodbakker 1984; Schmidt et al. 2018), as it is known from much of the Caribbean, northern South America, and Florida ( USA).
