We found this elongated ostracod in artificial impoundments. Our records include the water hazards at the Herman E. Moore Golf Course, on the University of the Virgin Islands St. Thomas campus, and the upper impoundment on Mahogany Run ghut. We also found it in ornamental aquatic garden plantings in Tillet Gardens.
