Only three gordian worm species are reported from freshwaters in the Caribbean ( Zanca et al. 2020). They are Parachordodes ciferrii Sciacchitano, 1932 from the Dominican Republic, and P. capitosulcatus (Montgomery, 1898) and Paragordius varius (Leidy, 1851) from Cuba. We did not encounter any gordian worms in our surveys.
