This species is known from some localities in the south of the country. Records for this species are in the Sierra Madre del Sur , in the colindant portion with the Tansmexican Volcanic Belt , in the type locality Sierra Madre del Sur , Guerrero. Ayala­Barajas et al. (1988) mentioned localities in Guerrero: Toro Muerto, El Iris, Bosque de Lauraceas , La Golondrina, Los Retrocesos, Nueva Delhi, Puente de los Lugardos and Río Santiago. The present work has a new host locality record in Queretaro. La Florida: 1 male, 6/3/1997, ex Peromyscus gratus gratus (167RAG); Peña Bernal, 12 km NW: 1 female, 14/2/1984, ex Peromyscus pectoralis pectoralis (1211MQ); Tequisquiapan, 4 km SW: 2 males, 12/4/1984, ex Perognathus flavus mexicanus (1322MQ).
