Description. Male. Body( Fig. 1B View FIGURE 1. A – C ) almost entirely shiny to subshiny yellow brown except for dark brown ocellar tubercle and abdominal pattern; setulae and setae mostly dark brown; wing length 4.7–5.2 mm; thorax length 1.6– 2.0 mm. Head ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2. A – C ) with frons-head ratio 0.35–0.38, eye ratio 0.75–0.79, gena-eye ratio 0.11–0.13, aristaantenna ratio 1.4–1.5; medial vertical seta about 0.8x longest diameter of eye; lateral vertical seta 0.6x as long as medial vertical seta; postocellar seta about 0.4x as long as medial vertical seta; paravertical seta about half as long as postocellar seta; ocellar seta about twice as long as ocellar tubercle; first flagellomere 2.2–2.4x pedicel length; parafacial less than 0.2x as wide as first flagellomere; postgena moderately swollen with relatively long dark brown setulae; postocular setae extended 0.6x distance from upper eye margin to lower eye margin. Thorax with dorsocentral seta about 4/5 distance from level of postsutural supra-alar seta to intra-alar seta; scutellum with basal scutellar seta about 2.6x as long as scutellum and apical seta 2.2x as long as scutellum. Legs entirely yellow brown with dark brown setae and setulae. Wing ( Figs. 1B View FIGURE 1. A – C , 3C View FIGURE 3. A – D ) hyaline with yellow brown to dark brown pattern; cell dm with brown band approximately between apical 2/5–1/5; wing-thorax ratio 2.6–3.0, vein R4+5 ratio 1.6–1.7, vein M ratio 0.33–0.37, subcosta-costa ratio 0.50–0.55; R4+5 dorsally with 7 tiny setulae between node and R-M, no setula apical to R-M. Abdomen yellow brown in ground color with dark brown setae and setulae; T1+2 entirely yellow brown and T3–5 dark brown ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3. A – D H); epandrium ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4. A – C ) dark brown with tiny setulae and long dark brown setae; lateral surstylus slightly longer than height of epandrium, yellow brown with more or less pointed apex in profile; posterior surstylar lobe reduced and anterior surstylar lobe expanded and bent inward; proctiger pale yellow with brown to dark brown setae; dorsal sclerite of glans extensively with internal sculpture pattern of elongated cells ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5. A – D ); vesica of glans ventrally with 8 tiny spines.

Female unknown.

Type material. Holotype male, MYANMAR: Kambaiti, 2000 m, 19.V.1934, R. Malaise (adomen dissected and kept in a genitalia vial). Paratypes (same locality and collector as the holotype): 5.V.1934, 1ɗ; 12.V.1934, 1ɗ; 15.V.1934, 1ɗ. The type series are deposited in NRS. They were originally determined and labeled as A. longipennis by M. Hering.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality in the north eastern Myanmar. Etymology. The specific epithet is a noun derived from the Latin ‘spine’ and ‘penis’, referring to the spines on the vesica of glans ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5. A – D ).
