"Habitat in America meridionali." RCN: 7788.

Lectotype (Schelpe in Contr. Bolus Herb. 1: 50. 1969): Herb. Linn. No. 1245.19 ( LINN) .

Current name: Pityrogramma calomelanos (L.) Link View in CoL ( Pteridaceae ).

Note: See discussion by Tryon (in Contr. Gray Herb. 189: 60. 1962; 194: 68. 1964) who did not, however, designate a type. Although Tardieu-Blot (in Aubréville, Fl. Cameroun 3. 134. 1964) stated "Type: herb. L." it is unclear whether this was intended to refer to Leiden (L), or LINN.
