( Figs 71, 74, 77 View FIGURES 70–79 )
Lanurgus subdepressus Schedl, 1965: 66 View in CoL , orig. spelling
Type material. Holotype female: Madagascar, Mt. d’Ambre , in zweigen [branches], 14.XIII.1952, Dr K.E. Schedl, [ NHMW].
Diagnosis. Length 1.7 mm, 2.4 × long as wide; colour dark brown. Frons weakly concave (upper part on type concealed by pronotum); scapus triangular, with tuft of setae as long as scapus and pedicel combined; pronotal summit located on posterior third; elytral disc lightly impressed in middle, striae 3–6 lightly impressed on posterior half.
Distribution. Madagascar.
Remarks. With only a unique type available, this species can be difficult to distinguish from D. obesus and D. elongatus ( Schedl, 1950) . It is most readily separated from both species by the posteriorly placed summit of the pronotum, and a weak depression on the elytral disc which may or may not be a deformity.
