Generitype of Crateva Linnaeus (vide Corrêa in Trans. Linn. Soc. London 5: 222. 1800).

Current name: Crateva tapia L. ( Capparaceae ).

Note: Jacobs (in Blumea 12: 189. 1964) designated a Plumier illustration as type but as Plumier’s work was not cited in the protologue, it is not original material for the name.
