Deposition. NIBRIV0000831178.
World distribution. Japan, Russia and Northeastern Pacific, and Korea.
Diagnosis. Body oval shaped. Valves color mixed brown and yellowish white with blue stripes. Head valve semi- circle shape, smooth surface with zigzag stripes forms concentric. Intermediate valves wide rectangular, posterior center beaked, jugal area wedge shaped, smooth and patternless, pleurolateral area with longitudinally zigzag stripes, and dark brown color of beside on the top, lateral area slightly raised. Tail valve oval, mucro anterior of the center. Girdle narrow, densely covered with short and blunt point spicules. Gills arrangement merobranchial and abanal.
Remarks. Living Tonicella undocaerulea has blue stripes on its valves, which turn into white when preserved in alcohol. This species is morphologically similar to T. linsegmental furrow present. Hair setae unequal, up to six per bundle; short setae 75 - 200 μm shorter than dorsal setae.
