Discussion. In his original description, Tesař (1952) did not specify the number of specimens of the type series of P. rubrodecoratus , but he reported its geographic origin as “Patria: Sikkim, Himalaya, (Typus); Kuatun, Prov. Fukien, China, leg. Klapperich” and identified the holotype with a red label coded “Typus” ( Fig. 5D View FIGURES 5 ). The record of this species from Sikkim is incorrect. There is a similar species inhabiting Sikkim, P. alboguttatus (Moser, 1905) , but the two species differ in some key characters (see Ricchiardi 2018, Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 ). Moreover, no further records of P. rubrodecoratus have been reported so far from the western pre-Himalayan region. Therefore, we regard the label “Sikkim” of the holotype as erroneous and suggest that P. rubrodecoratus inhabits Fujian only. This hypothesis was already put dubitatively forward by Krajcik (2011a).
