Cited in combination with Neocanthidium View in CoL by Vulcano & Pereira (1967: 591) and Canthidium (Canthidium) View in CoL by Martínez & Halffter (1986: 27). Its generic placement should be reassessed as it may indeed turn out to be a Canthidium (Neocanthidium) View in CoL ]. Type locality: Surinam and Brazil: Espírito Santo (“Brésil: Espirito Santo.— Guyane hollandaise: Surinam”). Type material: Unknown number of syntypes (MNHN). Distribution: Surinam and Brazil ( Boucomont 1928b. Martínez & Halffter (1986a) excluded Surinam from the distribution without explanation).
