Canthidium aurifex Bates, 1887: 48 View in CoL [here transferred to the subgenus Canthidium View in CoL ]. Type locality: Panama: Chiriquí: Bugaba (“ Panama, Bugaba”). Type material: Unknown number of syntypes of both sexes (BMNH). Distribution: Costa Rica, Panama, and Ecuador (Solís & Kohlmann 2004).
