Type material. CHINA, Fujian Province: Holotype female from Quanzhou City, Dehua County, Chishui Town , Daiyunshan National Nature Reserve , 25.65°N, 118.23°E, 1421 m, 21 July 2013, X. Cao & Y. Zhong leg.

( CBEE, LJ 02600). Paratype: 1 female, with same data as for holotype ( CBEE, LJ02601 ) .

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin adjective imparilis , - is, - e, meaning “weird”, referring to the long and parallel IDS; adjective.

Diagnosis. The female of P. imparilis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. lushanensis by very long and almost parallel IDS medially, but can be distinguished by anterior margins of LL broad V-shaped (U-shaped in P. lushanensis ).

FEMALE (LJ02600): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 8.0, DS length 3.2, width 3.0, OS length 4.3, width 2.4. Eyes: AME 0.14, ALE 0.19, PME 0.11, PLE 0.16, AME–AME 0.15, AME–ALE 0.08, PME–PME 0.19, PME–PLE 0.33, AME–PME 0.27, ALE–PLE 0.23, CH AME 0.33, CH ALE 0.28. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–II 323, III–IV 322; Pa I–III 101, IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 3.8 (1.0, 0.7, 0.9, –, 1.2); I 10.4 (3.2, 0.9, 3.0, 2.6, 0.7); II 12.6 (3.5, 1.1, 3.8, 3.2, 1.0); III 9.0 (2.9, 0.8, 2.3, 2.1, 0.9); IV 10.6 (3.3, 0.7, 2.5, 3.0, 1.1). Leg formula: II-IV-I-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 25 denticles.

Epigyne ( Figs 128A–C ): As in diagnosis. EF slightly wider than long, with distinct AB and trilobate anterior margin. Anterior margins of LL bulging anteriorly. Posterior margins of LL not as wide as anterior margins. Large parts of IDS extending in longitudinal axis. FD short.

Colouration ( Figs 129A–B ): DS yellow with dark spots. Fovea and striae distinctly marked. Sternum with few distinct, ventral coxae with less distinct spots. OS dorsally yellowish-brown in anterior half, becoming reddish-brown in posterior half, with lots of dots, and yellow transversal line in posterior part. OS ventrally reddish-brown with several dark dots, these fused in front of spinnerets.

MALE: Unknown.

Distribution. China (Fujian Province).
