Type material. CHINA, Sichuan Province: Holotype male from Bazhong City, Nanjiang County, Guangwu Mountain, Taoyuan Scenic Spot, 32.69°N, 106.79°E, 1703 m, 14 May 2013 , D. Wang & X. Jiang leg. ( CBEE, LJ 2355).
Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honour of the collector, Mr Xuankong Jiang; noun in genitive case.
Diagnosis. The male of P. jiangi Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. can be recognized by the following combination of characters: 1) E arises at 1:00 o’clock position, and its basal part is circular; 2) RTA wrench-shaped in ventral view.
MALE (LJ2355): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 9.8, DS length 4.8, width 4.2, OS length 5.0, width 2.8. Eyes: AME 0.17, ALE 0.26, PME 0.19, PLE 0.22, AME–AME 0.18, AME–ALE 0.11, PME–PME 0.23, PME–PLE 0.33, AME–PME 0.30, ALE–PLE 0.27, CH AME 0.38, CH ALE 0.31. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2101; Fe I–II 323, III 333, IV 331; Pa I–IV 101; Ti I–IV 2026; Mt I–II 1014, III 2024, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 7.9 (2.3, 1.0, 1.6, –, 3.0); I 23.8 (7.0, 2.0, 6.8, 6.4, 1.6); II 28.5 (8.0, 2.4, 8.2, 7.8, 2.1); III 21.5 (6.8, 1.7, 6.0, 5.7, 1.3); IV 24.9 (7.6, 1.6, 6.4, 7.3, 2.0). Leg formula: II-IV-I-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 23 denticles.
Palp ( Figs 130A–C View FIGURE 130 ): As in diagnosis. C elongated, its basal part hidden in ventral view behind E base. E arising from T at 1:00 o’clock position, basal part huge, apical part long filiform, forming one large loop. RTA arising proximally to medially from Ti. Both dRTA and vRTA with tapering tips, vRTA more acute.
Colouration ( Figs 131A–B View FIGURE 131 ): DS yellow with dark spots and thin lines, especially behind eyes, margin with thin dashed line. Fovea and striae distinctly marked. OS dorsally yellowish with reddish brown mark above heart and a rather rectangular patch in posterior half. OS ventrally yellow with lots of brown dots, irregularly arranged and fused in front of spinnerets.
