Diagnosis. The female of P. auricularis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to those of P. gemina Jäger et al., 2006 and P. mediana Quan et al., 2014 ( Jäger et al. 2006; Quan et al. 2014) by the anterior margins of LL almost straight, and almost parallel to posterior margins, but can be distinguished by: 1) Anteriorly protruding part of IDS with median constriction; 2) IDS extends in longitudinal axis in dorsal view (without distinctly median constriction, extends in transversal axis in P. gemina and P. mediana ).

FEMALE (LJ2142): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 9.3, DS length 4.2, width 3.9, OS length 5.1, width 3.1. Eyes: AME 0.16, ALE 0.31, PME 0.22, PLE 0.28, AME–AME 0.15, AME–ALE 0.07, PME– PME 0.18, PME–PLE 0.27, AME–PME 0.24, ALE–PLE 0.21, CH AME 0.25, CH ALE 0.19. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–III 323, IV 331; Pa I–IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 2026, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 5.7 (1.6, 0.7, 1.1, –, 2.3); I 13.9 (4.1, 1.5, 3.8, 3.4, 1.1); II 17.9 (4.7, 1.8, 5.3, 4.5, 1.6); III 11.7 (3.7, 1.2, 3.1, 2.8, 0.9); IV 14.6 (4.4, 1.0, 3.6, 4.2, 1.4). Leg formula: II-IV-I-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 16 denticles.

Epigyne ( Figs 20A–C View FIGURE 20 ): As in diagnosis. EF almost twice as wide as long, AB absent. Posterior margins of LL almost parallel to anterior margins. FW well developed, covering almost the entire IDS. IDS easily visible in dorsal view.

Colouration ( Figs 21A–B View FIGURE 21 ): DS yellow with marbled pattern, two lateral and narrow marginal bands. Fovea and striae distinctly marked.
