It can be recognised by the IDS with distinct loops freely visible in dorsal view and the reticulated parts of the IDS (sclerotised part of IDS covered by FW and LL in dorsal view, IDS with entire surface in P. alta , P. fabularis , P. gibberosa and P. semiannulata ).

Median part of anterior margins of LL covered by median field of epigyne. IDS clearly visible in dorsal view, not covered by LL in their posterior part.
Colouration ( Figs 258A–B View FIGURE 258 ): DS yellow with dark spots and lines, the latter especially between eyes and fovea, margin with irregular black patterns. Fovea distinctly marked. OS dorsally brown with a dark region at the middle part in longitudinal axis, with a transverse procurved yellow line at posterior part, ventrally brown with lots of dark marks, irregularly arranged.
