Type material. CHINA, Guizhou Province: Holotype female from Bijie City, Qixingguan District, Yangshan Forest Park , 27.28°N, 105.26°E, 1691 m, 12 April 2016, H. Zhang, Y. Zhong & Y. Zhu leg. ( CBEE, LJ2334 ) GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 18 females, with same data as for holotype ( CBEE, LJ2335 LJ2352 ) GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, the Yangshan Forest Park; adjective.

Diagnosis. The female of P. yangensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. bibulba by the anterior margins of LL distinctly bent mediad and an overall very similar conformation of the epiygne. It can be diagnosed by sclerotised part of IDS with simple and straight tubes best seen in ventral view (IDS with bent tubes with anteriad lateral part in P. bibulba ).

FEMALE (LJ2334): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 6.8–7.7, DS length 3.1, width 2.8, OS length 4.2, width 2.9. Eyes: AME 0.13, ALE 0.21, PME 0.16, PLE 0.18, AME–AME 0.14, AME–ALE 0.07, PME– PME 0.17, PME–PLE 0.26, AME–PME 0.22, ALE–PLE 0.19, CH AME 0.31, CH ALE 0.26. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–III 323, IV 331; Pa I–IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 2026, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 4.5 (1.3, 0.5, 0.9, –, 1.8); I 10.6 (3.1, 1.2, 2.9, 2.5, 0.9); II 12.4 (3.4, 1.4, 3.7, 2.8, 1.1); III 8.1 (2.4, 1.1, 2.1, 1.9, 0.6); IV 9.8 (3.2, 0.7, 2.3, 2.6, 1.0). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 19 denticles.

Epigyne ( Figs 264A–C View FIGURE 264 ): As in diagnosis. EF wider than long, with indistinct, anteriorly slightly converging AB. LL touching each other only slightly centrally, posteriorly first slightly, then strongly diverging. IDS with loops, covered by LL in dorsal view.

Colouration ( Figs 265A–B View FIGURE 265 ): DS yellow with dark spots. Fovea and striae distinctly marked. OS dorsally yellowish- to reddish-brown, with a transverse black and, behind that, light yellow region in posterior half. OS ventrally yellow with dark reddish-brown dots, irregularly arranged.
