Diagnosis. In Western Australia, the male pedipalp morphology of A. wilkiei is most similar to that of A. schizocoides based on the shape of the tegular apophysis, but A. wilkiei lacks the brushed setae on the tibiae of the first legs of that species ( Figs 42A View FIGURE 42 vs 33A). Females of both species differ in the shape of the spermathecal heads, which are spherical in A. wilkiei ( Fig. 43D View FIGURE 43 ) but have a basal lobe in A. schizocoides ( Fig. 33D View FIGURE 33 ).

Description. For a detailed description of A. wilkiei see Framenau and Baehr (2018) (see also Figs 42A–E View FIGURE 42 , 43A–D View FIGURE 43 ).

Life history and habitat preferences. In New South Wales, A. wilkiei prefers open, coastal habitats such as sand dunes and heath ( Framenau & Baehr 2018). There, the species is autumn- to winter-mature with males collected from April to August. Similarly, in Western Australia, most mature males and females were collected from May to October, with a peak in July. There was no information on habitat preferences with any of the specimens from Western Australia.

Distribution. Southern Western Australia, into South Australia and coastal New South Wales ( Fig. 41 View FIGURE 41 ).
