Remarks. The Philippine genus, Howintoniella Roth 1981 , superficially resembles Cyrtonotula in terms wing reduction and genital structure but slightly differs in terms of the size of tegmina (triangular non-overlapping in Howintoniella while overlapping and extending to fourth abdominal segment in Cyrtonotula ) and hind wing (absent in Howintoniella while lobiform in Cyrtonotula ). The exact relationship of the two genera is still unknown but it is possible that Howintoniella is a junior synonym of Cyrtonotula .
