Artbeschreibung: Kopfdurchmesser 5-8 cm. Blüten nur vormittags geöffnet, goldgelb, meist länger als die Hüllblätter. Diese weisslich-grün berandet. Staubbeutel gelb, mit 5-8 braunen Längsstreifen. Frucht mit Schnabel 2-2,5 cm lang, randliche stachelig.
Blütezeit: 5-7
Standort und Verbreitung in der Schweiz: Fettwiesen / kollin-montan(-subalpin) / CH
Verbreitung global: Ursprünglich eurasiatisch
