Figs.10–18.
Adult habitus. General color brown. triocellate; frons and occiput brownish yellow. Thorax brown, pronotum brown with indistinct rugosities, mesothorax and metathorax brown in dorsal view. Leg brown. Cerci dark brown. Wings light brown. Abdomen light brown, with more hair (Figs. 10, 11, 12, 16).
Male. Macropterous, forewing length 29–30mm, body length 19–20mm. Tergum 5 lobe extending to anterior of tergum 6 and indented slightly, with sensilla basiconica along posterior margins of the lobe (Figs. 12, 14, 17); terga 6–9 sclerotized anteriorly and laterally, mesally tergum 6 with two circular sclerotized spots (Figs. 12, 14, 17); tergum 7 notched at anterior margin, two distinctly larger sclerotized patches medially (Figs. 12, 14 17); membra- nous area of tergum 8 with elongate patches of sensilla basiconica (Figs. 12, 14, 17); tergum 9 with two large cluster sensilla basiconica in membranous area (Figs. 12, 17). Sterna 3–6 with hair brushes, brushes on 3–5 more prominent (Figs. 13, 14). Tergite 10 divided into short hemitergites, scarcely surpassing tergum 9 posteriorly; each hemitergite with margin considerably raised and produced forward into a triangular process sharply pointed at the tip and armed with sensilla basiconica anterolaterally, on the inner side at the base of each hemitergites with a smooth rounded dark knob (Figs. 12, 14, 17). Aedeagus with a distinctly annulate bare shaft, a finely spinulose section nearly as long as shaft, distally slightly sclerotized, a small area of pellucid spinulae extending anteriorly to the annulated bare shaft, anteriorly aedeagus mostly membranous (Figs. 15, 18).
Female. Macropterous, forewing length 38mm, body length 26mm. Subgenital plate extending to the anterior of sternum 8 with a median notch at the posterior margin (Fig. 16).
Material examined. 2 males, 1 female, CHINA: Yunnan Province, Baoshan City, Mt. Gaoligong, Baihualing , 25°18’29” N, 98°47’34” E, 1497m, 10 May 2016, Leg. Yi-Fan Li ( ICSFU) GoogleMaps .
Remarks. Paragnetina indentata was proposed by Wu & Claassen in 1934, the holotype of which was deposited in United States National Museum, Washington, D.C., U.S.A. and paratypes in the Yenching University Collection, Beijing, China. The paratypes deposited in the Yenching University Collection were lost during warfare. Wu (1962) replaced the holotype with a male collected in Baoshan City, located in western Chinese Yunnan Province, but this act is invalid (ICZN 1999). The male and female terminalia of our material is apparently the same as illustrated in Wu (1938, 1962), but the aedeagus was not described. We provide the first description and illustrations of the male aedeagus of this species.
