This is a secondary homonym of Coccus alni Modeer, 1778: 23 (on a later page in the same work). Gmelin (1790: 2220) renamed it Coccus farinosus . Current status: unrecognisable. See also Coccus farinosus alni Goeze, 1778: 344 .
