Fulmek (1943: 28, 43) listed this trinomen without any description of the species and regarded it a junior synonym of Lecanium coryli (L.) (= Eulecanium tiliae ). Current status: since Linnaeus did not describe a species under this name, we regard Coccus corylus-avellanae as a nomen nudum, probably placed with Eulecanium tiliae (L.).
