Schmidt (1940: 270) introduced this combination. The original name was Dactylopius greeni Cockerell. De Lotto (1974: 180) treated this name as a junior synonym of Dactylopius confusus (Cockerell) . Current status: Dactylopius confusus (Cockerell) (Family Dactylopiidae ).
