We regard this name to be a nomen nudum. Costa listed the name as Coccus mirti ( Calypticus testudineus n.) and we believe that Costa implied that Coccus mirti was the same as Calypticus testudineus . On page 12 of the same publication, Costa described Calypticus testudineus in detail. Current status: placed with Ceroplastes rusci (Linnaeus) .
