Type: Argentina: Tucumán, Tafí, Cumbres Calchaquíes, 4400 m, 2 Feb 1907, M. Lillo 5602 (syntypes US! [US-3099597 barcode 00406323], W! [W19160037761], BAA! [BAA00000078], CORD! [CORD00001544]. The protologue cites a gathering but not a specimen, thus there is no holotype or isotypes, despite the interpretations of some authors.
