- Male antenna of all Holarctic species with flagellomere 10 with two or more whorls of plume setae, with the second and any more distal whorls incomplete. Those from more southern areas have only a single whorl, indicating that the Holarctic species form a monophyletic group (see Dasyhelea where the arrangement is different).
