Slide No. INU˗1568C, 1569C .
Diagnosis. By the wing pattern, the new species is similar to Halone dissimulata Bucsek, 2012 ( Bucsek 2012: 85, pl. 15: 213, 213a, 213b, 213c, gen. Mal091, 126; present paper: fig. 23), but the new species can be distinguished from the latter by the forewing with a pale brown basal band; medial discal area with two dark short streaks (discoidal and post˗discal); hindwing gray ( Figs. 2a, 2b View FIGURES 1–2 ). In H. dissimulata , forewing without a pale brown basal band; medial discal area with two dark, rounded spots (discoidal and post˗discal); hindwing light gray ( Bucsek 2012: 85, pl. 15: 213, 213a, 213b, 213c).
The male genitalia of the new species is similar to H. viktorai Bucsek, 2014 ( Bucsek 2014: 17, pl. 3: 31, gen. MalS25), but the new species can be distinguished from the latter by the projections of tegumen tapering, weakly curled; valva stout, with blunt, rectangular apex, 0.5 times shorter than projections of tegumen; saccular process more stout, with blunt, rectangular apex, 0.5 times shorter than projections of tegumen ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 3–6 ). In H. viktorai , projections of tegumen not tapering, slender, almost stright; valva slender, tapering, almost same length with projections of tegumen; saccular process slender with rounded apex, almost same length with projections of tegumen ( Bucsek 2014: gen. MalS25).
Description Adult ( Figs. 2a, 2b View FIGURES 1–2 ). Length of the forewing 7˗9 mm in both sexes. Head sordid white. Patagium, tegula and thorax sordid white, with pale brown sprinkles. Forewing ground color sordid white, with a basal band narrow, pale brown; medial band broad, slightly rounded (waved), pale brown, diffused from a dark, short discoidal streak (= antemedial streak) to dorsum, with dark inner edge; post˗discal short streak dark; postmedial line pale brown, slender, broadly curved; subterminal line pale brown, slender, zigzag; series of small terminal spots pale brown; cilia pale gray. Hindwing gray, with a pale costal area; cilia gray. Abdomen fuscous in male; pale gray, tinged with pale yellow in female. Male genitalia ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 3–6 ). Uncus stout, club˗shaped, with an angular apex. Tegumen rectangular, sclerotized, shouldered, with a pair, weakly coiled slender projections. Valva elongated rectangular, weakly sclerotized, apex blunt, heavily covered with setae, almost same length with uncus. Apical saccular process elongated rectangular, strongly sclerotized, apex dilated rectangular, heavily covered with setae, almost same length with valva. Juxta weakly sclerotized. Saccus broadly “U”˗shaped. Aedeagus waved in apical half, with a large spine˗shaped apical projection and vesica with a large, elongate, spine˗shaped cornutus and scobinated. Female genitalia ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 3–6 ). Papillae anales weakly covered with setae. Ostial plate sclerotized, with dentated margin. Ductus bursae short, tubular, weakly sclerotized. Corpus bursae globular, membranous, with a slender, crescent˗shaped signum in cervix of bursae and a bundle of diverse sized spines in medial area of bursae.
Distribution. Cambodia (Kampot, Mondulkiri, Pursat Prov.).
Etymology. This species name is dedicated with gratitude to Dr. Jeremy Holloway, Oriental Arctiinae specialist.
