Type:— PERU. Lambayeque: Prov. Terreñafe, Distr. Kañaris, Cordillera de Mamaqpampa , 3081 m, 27 October 2017, A . Díaz 83 (holotype: HUT!) .

Distribution:— Peru in the departments of Lambayeque, Cajamarca, Huánuco and Junín. The species is recorded from the central and northwestern Peruvian Andes. Found in montane and seasonally humid forests.

Notes:— Epidendrum llatasii is similar to E. monteagudoi and is recognized by the elliptic leaves, the flowers greenish yellow, the sepals 12–15 mm long, the margins revolute and the lip strongly revolute (vs. leaves linear-lanceolate, flowers cream colored, and the sepals 7.8–8. mm long).

Conservation Status:— DD. Data Deficient.
