Type material of Cyclosa parangdives (examined). Holotype ♁ (coll. no. So 55), CHINA: Hainan Island , Panja Town, Songtao Reservoir area, 3.IV.2011, leg. A. T. Barrion et al. .
Description and diagnosis. See Yin et al. (1995) for a description and diagnosis of both sexes.
Distribution. China (Guangdong, Hainan, Yunnan, Zhejiang).
Comments. The type material of C. parangdives was examined and no differences between the males of C. informis and C. parangdives were found. Thus, we consider C. parangdives syn. nov. to be a junior synonym of C. informis .
