Notes
Engel (2005) proposed that the informal name Anthophila, without formal rank, be used for the bees (here denoted as an 'infraorder' due to restrictions in the available fields). Note that 'apiformes' and the corresponding 'spheciformes') is an equivalent term proposed by Brothers (1975)
