COMMON NAME (S): Owlet Moth, Underwing or Noctuid moth.
SYNONYM(S): None.
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Type locality, in Upper Luangwa Valley [Altitude, 1600–2000 ft or 487.7–609.6 m., asl], in NE Rhodesia [now, NE Zambia], Eastern Province .
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Solanum tuberosum L. (Solanaceae) is reported as the host plant of the taxon in South Africa. Elsewhere in unnamed African countries, the following three Pinaceae plant species serve as host plants: Pinus patula Schltdl. & Cham. , P. radiata D.Don and Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.) Franco. No host plants are known for the taxon in Zambia.
