COMMON NAME (S): Tiger Moth.
SYNONYM(S): Macronyx debilis Felder, 1874 ; Acantharctia irregularis Gaede, 1923 ; Teracotona pallidior Niepelt, 1937 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Botswana, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Namibia , Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Livingstone, in Southern Province ; Lusaka , in Lusaka Province; Kitwe, in Copperbelt Province ; Petauke, in Eastern Province .
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include a Commelina species (Commelinaceae) that is yet to be identified ( African Moths 2019).
