DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, Togo, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka , in Lusaka Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include Various grasses ( Poaceae ) yet to be identified ( Pinhey, 1975), one Pinaceae species ( Pinus patula Schltdl. & Cham. ) and one yet to be identified Poaceae species ( Panicum sp. ) and
Cyperaceae View in CoL species ( Mariscus sp. ) ( Austara & Jones 1971). The African Moths (2019) webpage also includes rice, Oryza sativa View in CoL L. ( Poaceae View in CoL ) in this list as larval foodplants for the taxon.
