COMMON NAME (S): Red Tailed Gipsy. SYNONYM(S): Morasa lorimeri Butler, 1878b ; Psilura scurrilis Wallengren, 1860 .

DISTRIBUTION: Botswana, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia , Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tanzania, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Schinus molle L., an Anacardiaceae species is a host plant of the taxon in South Africa ( Taylor 1949) . In Kenya , two yet to be identified Fabaceae species ( Acacia sp. and Phaseolus sp. ), one Rhizophoraceae species ( Cassipourea malosana Alston ), one unidentified Malvaceae species ( Dombeya sp. ) and one
Pinaceae species ( Pinus radiata D.Don ) are the host plants ( Austara & Jones, 1971). One Combretaceae species ( Combretum molle R.Br. ex G.Don ), one Sapindaceae species ( Pappea capensis Eckl. & Zeyh. ),
two Anacardiaceae species ( Searsia pyroides (Burch.) Moffett and Ozoroa mucronata (Bernh. ex Krauss)
R.Fern. & A.Fern.), two yet to be identified Fabaceae species ( Acacia sp. and Phaseolus sp. ), one
