DISTRIBUTION: Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia , Nigeria, Sao Tome & Principe, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka, in Lusaka Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): In Zimbabwe, the Convolvulaceae species, Distimake quinquefolius (L.) A.R.Simıes & Staples is one of the host plants of the taxon ( Pinhey, 1960). Additionally, Cissampelos sp. (Menispermaceae) , Distimake quinquefolius (L.) A.R.Simıes & Staples ( Convolvulaceae ) and Ocimum gratissimum L. ( Lamiaceae )
and reported as larval foodplants for the taxon in unnamed African country or countries ( African Moths
2019).
