COMMON NAME (S): Verdant hawkmoth or Verdant Hawk.
SYNONYM(S): None.
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Central African Republic, South Africa, Zambia.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Chingola, in Copperbelt Province ; Lusaka and Kafue, in Lusaka Province ; Livingstone, in Southern Province .
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include: two Vitaceae species ( Cissus arguta Hook.f. and Cissus petiolata Hook.f. ) in Côte d’Ivoire ( Vuattoux et al. 1989); one Fabaceae species ( Vigna sp. ) in South Africa ( Fawcett 1902)
and three Vitaceae species ( Parthenocissus quinquefolia (L.) Planch., Ampelopsis sp. and Cissus sp. ) in unnamed African country or countries ( Aurivillius 1925 ; MacNulty 1967; Martiré & Rochat 2008).
The following Vitaceae species are listed as larval foodplants of the taxon by the African Moths (2019) webpage without specifying countries in Africa where they are found; ( Vigna sp. , Cissus trothae Gilg & M.Brandt , C. petiolata Hook.f. , C. arguta Hook.f. , Vitis vinifera L. , Parthenocissus quinquefolia (L.) Planch. and Rhoicissus tridentata (L.f.) Wild & R.B.Drumm.
