COMMON NAME (S): Southern Marbled Emperor.
SYNONYM(S): Saturnia flavida Butler, 1877c ; Saturnia terpsichorina Westwood, 1881a ; Heniocha lindti Gr ̧nberg, 1910b; Heniocha apollina Gaede, 1927 ; Heniocha divisa Bryk, 1939 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia , South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe. LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kafue , Chongwe ** and Lusaka , in Lusaka Province; Monze and Victoria Falls , in the Southern Province ; Kopa, in Muchinga Province ; Sesheke in Western Province .
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include: two Fabaceae species ( Vachellia karroo (Hayne) Banfi & Galasso and Acacia mearnsii De Wild. ) in South Africa ( Oberprieler 1995.) and one Fabaceae species ( A. pubescens (Vent.)
R.Br.) in an unnamed country in Africa ( Pinhey 1972b) . No larval foodplants of the taxon have been reported for Zambia.
