COMMON NAME (S): Banded Emperor, Treble-banded Emperor or Edible caterpillars (Finkubala, in Zambia). SYNONYM(S): Bunaea rendalli Rothschild, 1896 ; Cinabra gaedei Sch ̧ssler, 1933. IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE). DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa,
Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe. LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Chililabombwe, in Copperbelt Province; Mpika in Muchinga Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include two Caesalpiniaceae species ( Brachystegia spiciformis Benth. and B.venosa
Hutch. & Burtt Davy), one Fabaceae species ( Julbernardia paniculate (Benth.) Troupin ) and one
