COMMON NAME (S): Window Pearl.
SYNONYM(S): Filodes productalis Hampson, 1899 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Réunion, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka , in Lusaka Province; Serenje, in Central Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): In the Réunion two Acanthaceae species namely, Thunbergia grandiflora (Roxb. ex Rottl.) Roxb. and Thunbergia sp. and one Malvaceae species ( Hibiscus sp. ) are reported as host plants of the taxon,while one Acanthaceae species ( Thunbergia grandiflora (Roxb. ex Rottl.) Roxb. ) in the host plant of the taxon in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The African Moths (2019) webpage indicates that Hibiscus sp. (Malvaceae) and two Acanthaceae species namely; Thunbergia grandifolia (Roxb. ex Rottl.) Roxb and Thunbergia affinis S.Moore , are larval foodplants for the taxon.
