COMMON NAME (S): Grass moth or Crambid Snout Moth.

SYNONYM(S): Pionea brevialis Walker, 1859 ; Botys divisalis Lederer, 1863 ; Scopula eximialis Walker, 1866a ; Mnesictena pactolina Meyrick, 1887 ; Pionea holoxuthalis Hampson, 1908a ; Mimasura larseni Wiltshire, 1985 .

DISTRIBUTION: Australia, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gambia, India, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Oman, Republic of Congo, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Zambia.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Mkushi, in Central Province ; Kafue, in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants of the taxon include one Euphorbiaceae species ( Flueggea virosa (Roxb. ex Willd.) Royle ) and one Solanaceae species ( Solanum sp. )
