REMARK

The hybrids between P. palustris and P. nemoralis have been described under this name, but as in Siberia, a huge number of populations seem to be of hybrid origin, having P. palustris and P.nemoralis as a parental species, there is a need to include somewhere the population, where the morphological features of both prospective parents are expressed equally. Thus, we treat here P. intricata not as a contemporal hybrid, but as a species of hybrid origin.
